Like most everyone else I have felt the sting of death in my life; the death of family and friends which brings heartache and the multitude of unanswered questions. We have all experienced it on other levels as well, the death of a dream or business or the death of a marriage or other relationship. Death can be experienced on so many levels.
Death in all its forms is so painful because it brings a separation from a cherished relationship, a dream and sometimes even our purpose for living. We feel the utter helplessness in ourselves to do anything about it which often leads us to despair and hopelessness.
Is there any way out? I am glad to tell you there is! As we celebrate the season of Easter we must remember it is a celebration of resurrection; life conqueroring death, victory over fear and the renewal of hope for our future. The resurrection of Jesus Christ forever gives us hope in the face of death’s blow upon our lives. His resurrection means that we now can be reunited with hope and purpose in our lives. Because He lives we too can live a new life of strength, faith and victory by the power of the Holy Spirit. The same power that raised Jesus from the tomb can raise us up and renew our lives also.
This Easter open your heart, bruised thought it may be, to the love, the hope and the new future God has for you. Because Jesus lives you too can live a life of purpose and joy!
I encourage you to revisit the empty tomb this Easter and let faith be renewed in the empty places of your life.
“He is not here, for He has risen just as He said.” Matthew 28:6
May this Easter season be a time of new beginnings for your life!
