Homeless Outreach Ministry
Reaches out to feed, clothe and minister the Gospel to the homeless community of Boynton Beach.
“The spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are down trodden” Luke 4:18
SOUP KITCHEN
Each Monday at 11:30am in Rigo Hall as a direct out-reach of GCC. We provide hope, help and healing. Our mission;
1. To reach the homeless with God’s promise for everyone to hear who He is before His final coming.
2. To provide a delicious meal to the homeless or those in need.
3. To provide an atmosphere where the homeless can come to know Jesus and accept Him as their personal savior.
Schedule of a typical Monday at the GCC Soup Kitchen:
1. 9:00am: Set-up tables and chairs. Bring out soup and food from refrigerator.
2. 10:00am: Take inventory of food and articles needed.
3. 10:30am: Go to the store for the necessary items.
4. 11:00am: Arrive back and set up for final preparation.
5. 11:15am: Doors open.
6. 11:30am: Pastor Norris to provide sermon and prayer before meal.
7. 11:45am: Serve Soup and sandwich-give out bus passes.
8. 12:45am: Table breakdown and clean-up.
“The blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” Matthew 11:5
SPECIFIC NEEDS
1. People to witness one on one for those in need.
2. People to make home made soup once every four to six weeks.
3. People to help clean up.
4. For a list of food and non-food items, obtain a list from the Information Center in the front of the church.
