Restoring Confidence…

Have you felt like giving up lately? Sometimes the thought of giving up to our circumstances and problems would seem to bring such a release from the daily struggle of our fight of faith; so much easier than standing and persevering.
Perhaps it is discouragement that seems to dog your life or fears about the future that is trying to rob your peace and cause you to give up on your dream. Whatever you may be fighting I want to encourage you; do not let go of your confidence and give in to your doubts and fears.
In the book of Hebrews chapter ten and verse thirty five the writer pens this statement; “Do not throw away your confidence for it will be richly rewarded.” When you are in the midst of a trial or obstacles seem unmovable in your pursuit of a dream it is easy to lose your confidence and give in to discouragement. But God is encouraging you today to not throw away your confidence in Him. He wishes to remind you that in your uncertain world there are still some things in which you can have confidence.
First, you can have confidence in God’s promises. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” God’s word will always stand with you and never fail. In the passing of time we are tempted to doubt but remember if God said it He also will do it! Secondly, you can have confidence in God’s power. The Bible declares that all things are possible for God. God’s power created the universe and all that is in it and that same power is available to you as you put your confidence in Him. Your impossible situation will be no match for His power! Thirdly, you can have confidence in God’s grace; his unearned favor and care. In grace God has provided forgiveness, hope and a future for all who believe in Him. No matter how hopeless your situation may seem God’s grace will be there to bring you through! And finally you can have confidence in God’s unconditional love. It is a love that proceeds from the heart of the Father for you. Remember, God has said that nothing can separate you from His love; not men, not problems, not the devil and not even death.
Today as you think upon these truths let your confidence be strengthened and secure in God, His word, His power, His grace and His love and you will be unshakeable in your confidence no matter where your path in life may take you.
